Install KcdM

What you need

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance II installed through Steam. KcdM never ships any game file: you play with your own copy.
  • An internet connection.

Steps

  1. Download KcdM.exe and run it.
  2. KcdM installs itself in %LOCALAPPDATA%\KCDM, adds a KcdM shortcut to your desktop and Start menu, downloads the launcher and opens it.
  3. Next time, start KcdM from its shortcut. Every launch checks for updates first: the small KcdM window shows the progress, then the launcher opens.

KcdM.exe is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then Run anyway. Every update is cryptographically signed and checked before it is installed.

Join a server

  1. In the launcher, open the server list (or pick a server on the home page).
  2. Double-click a server, or hover it and click SE CONNECTER. KcdM prepares the game and starts Kingdom Come: Deliverance II straight into that server's world.
  3. From this website, open the server list and click JOIN on a server: your launcher opens and joins it.

Your favourites and recently played servers are kept in the launcher, under the heart and clock tabs.

Settings

  • In-game name — the name other players see (Settings → Game).
  • Display — windowed or full screen; Startup — skip the game intro.
  • Updates — install them automatically (recommended) and choose the channel: release, beta or latest.
  • Local hosting — the port of a server you run on this PC, so it appears in your list.

Host a server

Anyone can run a KcdM server on Linux or Windows and appear in the public list. Everything you need — downloads, quick start, configuration and updates — is on the Create your own server page.

Troubleshooting

The launcher cannot find the game

KcdM looks for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II in your Steam libraries. Make sure the game is installed and has been started once from Steam.

The server list is empty

Check your internet connection and that your firewall or antivirus does not block KcdM. The list refreshes every few seconds.

I cannot connect to a server

The server may be full, restarting or allowlisted (lock icon). If you host it yourself, check that UDP port 27215 is open.

Uninstall KcdM

Close the launcher, delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\KCDM folder and the KcdM shortcuts. Your game installation is not modified.
